Avatar? 'Aven't got a clue.

I'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to this message board stuff. Could someone explain to a complete thicko how to go about getting an avatar? Cheers.

1) Click on MY PROFILE
2) Click on VIEW/UPDATE PROFILE
3) Scroll down to YOUR AVATAR
4) Two Options:
>>>Click HERE to see all available avatars
>>>Click HERE to upload a custom avatar
5) After selection is made RETURN TO PROFILE and refresh the page
6) Scroll to bottom of profile page and click on UPDATE PROFILE.
